My confinement dulu...

owh owh... i received and overwhelmed response from yesterday's post... i guess lots of working moms out there, especially first timers are really well informed regarding breastfeeding... :) maybe same as them, i'm thankfufl to technology aka internet which allows myself to learn all sort of things and know all sort of stuff from it... especially when me no like to read books! ahahahhah... *no good habit... jgn tiru*

so today.. lemme share with you what happened during my confinement... happy? stress? tired? hurt? hmmmm... this is how it goes....

but first... down to memory lane a bit... :) amik mood dulu...
Armand, one day old.. after breastfeeding, football style...

me = halfway induce.. almost finished one bottle.. nothing happened! and me sleepy odi... ahhahhah....

owh.. back to confinement!
1. I took Pati Ikan Haruan Polleney everyday for a month!! and eat only Ikan Haruan Dish for 2 weeks (rice + vege + fruit mesti ada yaaa) !! lots of Milo and plain water!!! on 6th day checkup, my c-sect wound completely heal... doc gave me 2 thumbs up! ehehhe....
2. LD Venus Gold for 3 weeks! (this one recommended by SIL's fren who had c-sect too... seriously, this helps a lot with  'inner-pain')
3. Had urut/tungku session on after 15days... as advised by Kakak Urut because of the c-sect.
4. I bath my baby everyday during confinement. I consider this as my exercise.. ehheee...
5. I can feel my post-natal blues kicking in on the 3rd week... when my nipple cracked/ bleed badly :( i can still remember the pain until now.... and i settled for FM twice a day for my baby so that i can let my nipples rest and heal.. huhu..
6. I will cry easily in little petty things... and i also sometimes cry without any reason.... i cried very hard one time when hubby said, "cuba lah... u boley buat tu..." hmmm.. i felt that hubby didn't understand my pain and forcing me to breasfeed baby whereas he just trying to give me some moral support... heh

Just my luck and i'm very grateful for this! Alhamdulillah...
1. My mom is around for 3 whole months! :) (1 month before + 2 months after). Every time i cried, she will just come and rub my feet/ hands and hug me... she cook and does all the housechores. love u mak!!! *cry cry*
2. My baby is not fussy! woke up the most 2 times at night and easily falls asleep... if he's colicky.. maybe once a week, he'll cry more.. just rub oil on his tummy... hold him and cuddle him, he'll back to sleep...
3. My understanding and helpful hasben!!! He woke up every night every time i fed the baby, took the baby from me to change diapers and put the baby to sleep.. daytime during weekend, he'll take over my moms duty with the baby so that she can rest.. he does most of the diaper change than myself... :) only thing he didn't dare to do is bathing the baby.... takut slip katanya.. hehe.. he took care/ arrange visitors so that i have enough rest! love u abang!!

My own NO-NO
1. Jamu! :) Hot stuff for my body.. not good if you are breastfeeding
2. Less water... hmmm... i hate strict confinement myth! yes.. it's a myth!
3. Diet!! sorry babe... my baby is wayyyyy too important than my figure! :) baby first! diet, exercise, back to anak dara figure? i give myself 6 months! :) i have frens who trying their very hard to sell me Premium Beautiful corset and brag about her successful figure... i asked her, are you breastfeeding your baby? she said no.. so, please... i'm not judging you in any way, so please don't judge me... :) i'm ok with my figure... my husband is ok with my figure.. so it's your problem if your husband really wants you to become 34-28-34 right after birth.. sekian! and this is a fact ladies... cutting down your food = low milk supply.. as simple as that.. so choose your path.. you can't have the best of both worlds... but i have frens whom 'automatically' slim right after confinement.. this one special case.. hehe... i'm happy for her! i wish my body type is like dat....ekekekkk...

back to corset.. cos i don't want ppl to misunderstood... wearing corset does not make your milk supply low... wearing corset makes your tummy 'smaller'... when you eat while wearing corset, u can't eat much and u can't drink much.. this makes your milk supply low... bear in mind, if you are consuming plain water almost 12 glasses per day like me, for the sake of breastfeeding, you will need to pee every hour or so... sanggup ke nak bukak pakai PB yg berlapis2 tu 7 kali sehari masa kat opis???? tu tak masuk kena bukak sbb nak pump lagi???? hmmmmm... sorry lah... tak practical langsung... 

ladies.. if you want to lose weight.. please and please... only watch what you eat (calorie intake) and exercise!! this is the only formula to lose weight successfully and most important.. healthily!!! :) pakai PB mmg la cantik figure uols... cuba bukak? selambak semua... ahhahahah....

kenapa saya sgt confident pasal weight loss ni? hmmm... i've been struggling with my weight since birth! ahahha... pills/ tea/ corsets.. i've tried everything... nothing works! but, i managed to be healthy at my age, with superb stamina (gituuu.. puji diri sendiri.. tak koser)... with good dieting habits and exercise regularly... ekekke.. so my target, in 6 months (after giving birth) i will get my ideal weight which is 65kg.. :) you wait arr you wait... ahahha... do you know at one time i have 6 packs? ahahha... tadaaaaaaa........

this was during our Krabi Trip.. 9 of us i think... and these are my friends sampai akhirat.. love uols too!
p/s: girls pun ada.. takde dlm gamba ni je... eheh

Mummy tgh berangan nak kurus by raya ni.. sempat kah?? sob sobss...

  7. lps bersalin anak first xde aim nk kurus ke hape...tp agaknya penat keje so on, berat turun la jugak..siap opismate asik komen nmpk kecikla, kurusla...tup2 br nk malaram balik baju2 lama dpt tau pregnant balik...(so kurus balik mgkn jgk mengundang "bahaya"), maka "membulatlah" balik ekeke..

    anyway sempat kot u nk kurus by raya...hari2 imagine nk pakai baju raya vogue!

  15. yeah.. baby first! makan je, takde diet2 dan air super byk kena minum lagi2 musim panas.

    perut? ohh, i pakai bengkung je buat mase nie sebab ikut pantang style org tua :) ikut je ckp mereka. korset after abis hari kot!

    wahh, workout! i pun rindu nak work-out! tapi yg pasti raya ni nak pakai baju kurung & kebaya yg beli sebelum deliver hari tue. HAHAHA. harap2 muat lah :P

Dhani is almost 3, i already lost 18kg (ambil masa lama coz bf factor) and i still wish i cn get rid the rest 10kg to get back my anak dara weight (53kg)..harapan la.. i reserve it after 2nd baby..hehe.. skarang ni tang perut x dapat sorok la lemak2nya..in general my classmate x sangka i ada anak bujang kalau i x bagitau..it's a compliment anyway..syukur alhamdulillah..tak la rasa gemok sgt..

    i agree with u sis..bf baby is the most important. diet biar slow2..apa nk megahkan badan slim melim tapi x bf anak..lps bb 2 taun pulun selimkan badan pulak..

  18. Sorry ya menyampuk... tapi nak menyampuk jugak! Hehe... anyway, apa yg Leonora cakap tu mmg betul. I personally tak 'berpantang' macam orang slalu kata. Takleh minum air byk, bla bla bla... kalau tak minum, tak makan, camne nak breastfeed baby kan? Kesian la baby... and some people ada kata, if minum banyak, 'bawah' tu berair la apa... totally mengarut... so far alhamdulillah...takde la macam yg digembar-gemburkan tu...(i bersalin normal).

    Apa pun, no 1, mesti baby... bab badan kita tu, lain cite... And after 8 months dah bersalinkan baby + breastfeeding, my weight is even lagi ringan dari sebelum kawin... hihihi... maybe sebab penat + breastfeed, automatically kita akan turun berat badan sebab penat2 tu umpama exercise, lagi2 kalau baby ligat macam my baby... cumanya perut tu masih ada la kan... tapi tu la bukti kita pregnant, betul tak? :p

    and bab PB tu, i also ada kawan yang penah nak jual kat i... but bila i kata i dah back to normal, dia takleh nak kata apa dah... hihi...

    apa pun, as a mother, kita mestilah utamakan anak kita...sebab baby tu amatlah bergantung pada kita. Dia tak boleh nak buat benda sendiri. So tanggungjawab kita untuk bagi dia minum, makan, dan segala2nya... as long as kita healthy, baby pun healthy, alhamdulillah... :)

  23. wowieee...loving your 6-packs...skang i pon ade pack je...tapi 1-pack je la...ahahaha...aka love handle...nasib la...i pon tak diet this time...dulu diet time nia sampai takde susu (so what u wrote up there mmg 100% betol)...this time lesson learnt from dulu, taknak diet...i pon minum plain water byk giler....sampai paksa2 diri kot...akaka..nak make sure supply ade...now alhamdulillah, pumping 5oz to deep freeze every morning...:p...

    p/s: lets jom durian jom...ekekek...ade gerai baru bukak kat umah kami ni...:p
