My mum made few comments during my confinement... the one i remembered the most was.. "
budak2 zaman sekarang... byk betul gadget2 baby... dulu2 mana ada semua ni..." :) this is when i taught her how to use the sterilizer... and yes... i find these 'gadgets' very useful and most important, very time consuming.... and of course... most of it, 80% gadgets for our baby came from our beloved families and friends... thanks you all... i'll make sure Armand is aware bout this someday... ahhaha...
Modern mummy nowadays... i think... especially first-time-mother will want and have these.. at least
- Philips Avent/ Tommy Tippee bottles
- Stroller.. quinny wud be the most popular
- Sterilizer
- Breast pump
I'm not sure whether it's the trend or necessities... but the fact is, in the old days, baby survives well without it! :) funny aite? not saying that it's a wrong thing to want all these, i want those personally... and currently using all those as well... but i personally feel sometimes all these 'gadgets' are over-rated... and it becomes a MUST to have those branded Tommy Tippee bottles.. as an example.. :) truth is.. we can do without it...
Ok ok... i think i want to write about other things but ended up 'nagging' about 'over-spending'... ahhahah...
Let me 'overspent' more ya... after confinement.. i'm very diligent on breastfeeding Armand... i ended up buying Spectra 350 in addition to my Medela Mini Electric Single Pump... when you are exclusively breastfeeding.. i found that i don't have enough bottles for storage, then i settled with Milk bags.. yayy! cool invention i would say and luckily there is a cheap brand... hehe... then you'll face the frozen-thawing milk routine... kettle at home is 24-hours working without fail.. huhu... in a month time.. i found:
- it's very hassle when you are travelling... warming up milk in a car with hot water is very very very.. hmmm... me no like! hehhe...
- and when you warm it, you keep pouring the milk a bit at your wrist just to make sure it's the right temperature... *sigh* sometimes it can be lot of time... hish.. wasting my milk.. heheh...
sooooooo...... i decided to get myself a warmer... which:
- portable and can be used in the car
- can fit my Medela, Avent and Tommy bottles (we never bought any.. all are presents! :D)
tadaaaaaaaa....... i found this!
